Prairie
Ridge Facility
Prairie
Ridge's main facility was constructed in 1991. The facility
is owned by the corporation and
is a freestanding unit on the grounds of Mercy Health Center
on the western edge of Mason City, Iowa.
We
are very
proud of our facility. We strive to make our facility a
welcoming
environment for individuals and families who comes for our
services.
In
2004, we expanded our facility by adding a unit
dedicated
to adolescent services. Our other
facilities are in Algona, Charles City, and Osage, Iowa.
East
Wing: Main Entrance
Prairie
Ridge is located southeast of Mecry West Campus. Prairie
Ridge main entrance is at the east side of the whole building.
From this entrance our clients have access to group rooms
designated for our adult clientele.
 Our
Large Group Room could hold 30-35 people and often use for day and
night time educational
sessions for residential clients and outpatient clients.
The 2 small Group
Room A and Group Room
B are also utilized for group meetings with clients during the day
and evenings. These rooms could hold about 15 people.
West Wing: Adolescent Unit
We
have a separate unit for adolescent services as of 2004. Our
West
Wing is designated for adolescent services. The offices of 3
adolescent substance abuse counselors are located in this area.
Furthermore, 2 group rooms are also in this area
specific to youth prevention education sessions, family meetings, youth
meetings, and other activities. See
our Adolescent
Services page for more information.
