Prevention Staff

 Kelly Grunhovd  is the Prevention Program Manager/Program Director.  She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2002 with Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Spanish.  While studying at the University of Northern Iowa , she concentrated her class load in Psychology of Adjustment and Abnormal Psychology.  She was also able to fine tune her Spanish skills by studying a semester in Spain . Ms. Grunhovd is a certified instructor for Strengthening Families Program, Reconnecting Youth, and Prime for Life programs.

Prevention Specialists

Jay Pedelty is a life long resident of North Iowa . He owned and operated a steel fabricating business in Mason City for 30 years. He is a past president of the Lime Creek Nature Center Foundation and formerly served as Chairman of the Mason City Riverfront Commission. He currently resides in Mitchell County . Mr. Pedelty is a certified instructor for Prime for Life program.
