Melissa Deckard is a Iowa Board Certified Prevention Specialist.  She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Health Promotion.  Ms. Deckard is a certified instructor for Prime for Life, Strengthening Families and Reconnecting Youth.

Kelly Grunhovd, CPS, Prevention Manager

Kelly Grunhovd is the Prevention Program Manager/Program Director.  She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2002 with Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Spanish.  While studying at the University of Northern Iowa, she concentrated her class load in Psychology of Adjustment and Abnormal Psychology.  She was also able to fine tune her Spanish skills by studying a semester in Spain.  Ms. Grunhovd is a certified instructor for Strengthening Families Program, Reconnecting Youth and Prime for Life programs.

Amy Markam

Amy Markham holds a bachelors degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Buena Vista University.  Amy studied American Sign Language through the interpreting program at DMACC and continues to study ASL.  She has been certified in Reconnecting Youth, Strengthening Families, TiPS, Positive Action and Prime for Life.

Jay is a life long resident of North Iowa.  He owned and operated a steel fabricating business in Mason City for 30 years.  He is past president of the Lime Creek Nature Center Foundation and formerly served as Chairman of the Mason City Riverfront Commission.  He currently resides in Mitchell County.  Mr Pedelty is a certified instructor for Prime for Life program.
