Treatment Staff
Mark Dodd is our Clinical Program Director. Mark is a licensed Mental Health professional with a
MA degree in mental health counseling from the University
of Wisconsin in Madison.
Mark has primary responsibility for all clinical operations and
programming including both residential and outpatient levels of care at all
sites. Prior to coming to Prairie Ridge,
Mark was the clinical director at the Northeast Iowa
Mental Health
Center in Decorah. While Mark initially brought skills to
Prairie Ridge surrounding co-occurring issues, he has since become a minted
motivational interviewing trainer and was the “Change Leader” for the Robert
Wood Johnson Paths to Recovery NIATx Program.
Sandra Jackson is our Residential Program Manager. She has a BA Degree in Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa and has provided both
outpatient and residential counseling duties at Prairie Ridge for the past
eight years. She was promoted to the
position of Program Manager in January, 2007, and has responsibilities of
coordinating all activities of the residential program. The head clinical assistant also reports to
Ms. Jackson and coordinates residential supervisory schedules along with other
administrative duties.
Chuck Sweetman is our Outpatient Program Manager. Mr. Sweetman has a BA Degree from Iowa State University and has been employed at
Prairie Ridge for over 30 years. Chuck
has held numerous counseling and management positions at Prairie Ridge and
brings significant experience in the addiction field. He is a motivational interviewing minted
trainer and provides workshops and trainings throughout Iowa on this topic. Mr. Sweetman also has extensive training in
Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy.
Speaking fluent Spanish, he provides invaluable resources to the program
in addressing the needs of the ever increasing Hispanic population in the area.
